Since Jantzen and Lisa couldn't ride the Tower of Terror and
the Rockin'
Roller Coaster at MGM
on Wednesday they woke up early and headed over there to beat the crowd. Lisa said they
were one of the first ones there and got right in. Lisa found out on the way over there
that everybody was at Epcot
and Magic
Kingdom getting ready for the big New Years Eve celebration. She said there was a
line into Epcot
about a mile long and when they left MGM
that they had closed down Epcot
and Magic
Kingdom; they were not letting anybody else in. The boat captain said that is the
first time any of the theme parks had been closed down, let alone 2 of the parks.
They got back to the Villa around 9:30 and we headed over to Animal Kingdom. Like I said before, we tried to do things we hadn't done on our last trip like The Festival of the Lion King. It was really neat. Then we went to see Tarzan Rocks. We saw it last time but it was so cool we had to see it again. We didn't go into Asia last time so we headed there. They had 6 Bengal tigers along with other animals that were neat to see.
We also saw Terk and Flik and got them to sign our autograph books.
We were back at the Villa by 5:00. It was really starting to get crazy out there so we wanted to beat the rush. We ordered some dinner from room service along with some Champagne. But it looks like I would be the only one up at midnight; everybody else fell asleep. I tried to wake up the wife but she was out. So I stepped out onto the balcony and saw the fireworks. They were everywhere! Some coming from Epcot and some from Magic Kingdom. It was pretty impressive
