We had breakfast downstairs at Boma. It was buffet style with African dishes. It was great. The kids ended their meal with another birthday treat and birthday smoothie.
After we breakfast we headed over to Animal Kingdom. We were greeted by Mushu at the front gate and got his picture and autograph. That was cool because we have, so far, 83 character autographs and it is getting harder to find new ones. We had actually seen Mushu a few years ago at Epcot but he was going in and we didn't get his autograph.
Marina wanted to see the Festival of the Lion King show so we did that first. That is always a neat show. After the show we saw Koda and Kenai from Brother Bear and got their pic/autographs. Then we went to the Tarzan Rocks show over at Dinoland. We had great seats for the show since we had the Prince and Princess Plan from our lodge (part of the birthday stuff). While we were at Tarzan Rocks it started to rain BIG TIME. If you have kept up with our previous trips you will know that it always seems to rain when we go to AK. But it was still a fun, productive day.
Jantzen wanted to go on Primevial Whirl so they rode that...3 times...in the rain. It was very reminiscent of our last trip when Lisa and Jantz rode it in the rain.
The last thing we did was the It's Tough to be a Bug show in the Tree of Life. They did that while Marina and I shopped for some pins. We were soaked and since we did the 4 things the kids wanted to do we headed for the front gate.
After dinner downstairs at Jiko we dropped the kids off at the Neverland Club at the Polynesian. Lisa, Darla and
Gerald went over to Downtown Disney to shop. I stayed back in the room to relax.
