We had to leave this beautiful hotel this morning and get on with our journey home. Personally,. I could have stayed there a few more days. But we still had a lot to see and a lot to do. We were heading about 4 hours northeast to see the Hoover Dam. I had seen it on TV many times and always thought it would be cool to see. It was. It was huge. And the water on the other side in Lake Mead was beautiful. It almost looked like the turquoise/green water in the Caribbean. We didn't take the tour or stay too long. I just wanted to see the dam. Plus we had 4 hours to go to the Grand Canyon. And we wanted to get there before sunset.

We arrived at the south rim of the Grand Canyon just as the sun was setting. It was beautiful. After checking into the Maswik Lodge we had a quick supper there at the cafeteria.
