Day 9

What a day! Breakfast was at 6:45am. So we were up by 5:30. At least I was. Lisa was up earlier than that. But it wasn't too bad. The luggage was already gone and all we had with us was the clothes we were gonna wear for that day, toothbrushes and our carry-on bags.

After a good breakfast at Tritons we headed for midship to disembark. We got off the ship, walked into Port Canaveral and looked for our luggage. We were missing a couple pieces but found them a couple rows over. We took the 50 minute bus ride to Orlando airport. Our flight wasn't until 4pm and it was only 9:30am. So we had a long wait. We couldn't even check our luggage in until 1:00 so we couldn't go anywhere with all this luggage. I bought Lisa and I some books to read and the kids played with their Gameboys. They were really good.

We checked our luggage in at 1:30 and grabbed some lunch. It was just in time too because the kids were getting restless. After lunch we headed to our gate and waited to get on the plane.

It was 86 degrees and sunny when we got on the plane in Orlando. When we got off in KCI it was 29 and nasty. What a way to come back to reality. Jantzen and I went to get the van in satellite parking while Lisa and Marina gathered the luggage. Jantzen and I got to the van only to find it covered by an inch of ice. Not snow, but a shell of 1" ice. I had to bang on it to break it up and then pick it off. Some pieces came off in huge sheets that probably weighed 7 or 8 pounds. It was unreal. Nearly an hour had passed when we picked up Lisa, Marina and the luggage at the terminal. We're not in Orlando anymore Toto.
